A Reliable Partnership for a Smart Disaster Recovery Solution
The Challenge: Utility company ConEd (Consolidated Edison Company of New York) was utilizing a Mavro-based solution for remittance processing and digital mailroom services. However, its previous disaster recovery provider had implemented a different platform with limited functionality, which hindered system continuity.
ConEd required a more seamless, fully-featured disaster recovery solution and also desired a hosted location that avoided the same storm zones and grid vulnerabilities.
Technology: MavBridge™ software with OPEX® Eagle™ and Falcon™ scanners. A secure, hosted disaster recovery solution by Phoenix Data Corporation.
The Solution: ConEd collaborated with Mavro and Phoenix Data Corporation to implement an effective disaster recovery solution using MavBridge – the same capture platform as the primary ecosystem. The keying screens, dashboards and reports are the same, ensuring better continuity. Additionally, the MavBridge Connect Web Portal provides access to all historical images and data within the disaster recovery environment.
By collaborating with Mavro Imaging and Phoenix Data Corporation, the company now has a robust hosted disaster recovery plan, improved continuity and a government-approved, ultra-secure solution at a trusted facility, far from coastal vulnerabilities and built with full power redundancy.
Enhanced Continuity
The team can access and work in a familiar environment, utilizing the same reports, dashboards, and input screens without requiring any additional training.
Archive Access
The MavBridge Connect Web Portal gives teams immediate access to historical images and data across all software environments.
Synchronized Environments
Easy maintenance of version levels and configuration settings ensures that configurations and functionality stay current and reliable across the board.
Remote Secure Access
Role-based access controls allow for the secure viewing, testing, or activation of the disaster recovery system from remote locations.
Fast Recovery Time
The solution allows ConEd to get back online in minutes, not days.
Bulletproof Operational Facility
Compliant with FedRAMP, HITRUST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53 Rev 4 (High), and SSAE 16.
Medical Records Backfile Conversion
Phoenix Data Corporation tackles a century of medical records for the overseas military.
Industry: Healthcare
Volume: 200,000+ Medical Records
Processing: Medical Records, Forms, Reports, Care Records, supporting documentation, and patient X-rays with any type of media stored in the folder.
The Challenge: Manually sorting and processing medical records involves multiple steps for sequencing, classification, verification and adding barcode sheets. Scanning smaller documents meant taping them onto carrier sheets and inserting separator sheets to define transaction breaks. High-resolution film X-rays were typically handled by a separate scanning process which causes high labor costs and sacrifices speed.
The Solution: Phoenix Data Corp uses Mavro & Opex to take on a century of medical records scattered around the world. With an efficient, secure and accurate capture platform, PDC is taking inventory of overseas military medical records from the 1920s to 2024 and convert the paper records to an organized, indexed, imaging platform. Whatever we find in the folder needs to be captured. A variety of paper sizes, colors, brittle to damage documents, media and X-ray film. The Opex Falcon was the perfect platform with the integrated light table and Canon SLR high-resolution camera. A Mavro-developed companion application images the X-ray and includes it with the scanned paper records. The Mavro platform provides the indexing, classification and full-page recognition to deliver a full-text searchable PDF/A and XML metadata files and populates the Mavro Connect Archive. The entire platform is encrypted from the moment the image is captured, during processing and finally in its final archive, for storage and retrieval. The physical documents are stored in PDC’s NARA storage facility.
