Phoenix Data Corporation was selected as the 2011 Technology Innovator of the Year in the 8th Annual International Stevie Awards for Women in Business. The Stevie Awards honor women executives, entrepreneurs, and the companies they run worldwide, and have been hailed as the world’s premier business awards. Phoenix founder and CEO Carol Curran accepted the award at a gala ceremony in New York City honoring women executives and entrepreneurs from the United States and countries around the world.

Phoenix Data Corporation was recognized for its unique application of Particle Swarm Optimization, a new patented technology which rapidly calculates multiple optimal solutions in ever-changing environments. Phoenix has focused this technology on creating strategic and tactical advantages in electronic warfare for the United States military, where one project for the Air Force Office of Scientific Research reduced mission planning time from two days to approximately 1.5 seconds. Phoenix Data Corporation is currently developing additional industry applications. Expansion of the company’s existing technology work includes engineering services, IT support, electronic Image conversion and integration, and technical personnel for the government, the U.S. military, health care and private industry.
